“Big Little Lies” actress Shailene Woodley prefers natural beauty products! Who is she?
John Campbell When it comes to skincare Shailene Woodley goes all-natural. She is very thoughtful with her beauty choices as she is with her career. She prefers her beauty products all-natural. Similarly, she meditates every single day and practices wellness rituals even in her hotel room.
Talking about her skincare she said,
“I travel so much that I don’t have a routine that I follow every single day. What I absolutely do every day, though, is shower more than anyone should. When I wake up, I shower. This is even before I run or work out or anything. I shower again after.”
Likewise, she added,
“If I have time, I have this African mud mask by Nyakio. It can take off a full face of makeup,”
She said that she switches a few of her products depending on what time of the month it is. As she bleached, dyed black, bleached, and dyed black her hair many times she was lucky enough to find a perfect salon in Paris.

Shailene Woodley in Big Little Lies
In season 2 of Big Little Lies, many things stood out. Shailene Woodley had dark micro bangs. The bold hairstyle for Jane(her character on the show) was her choice.
She revealed that in an interview with Refinery29’s co-founder and editor-in-chief, Christene Barberich. It was her idea to give her character a new hair look.
She explained,
“I thought that the bangs could be a decision that maybe she would regret a few weeks later,”
Similarly, she added,
“[Like] ‘oh I shouldn’t have done that, but at least I look in the mirror and I see my new self and not the self that has been haunted by the ghost of season 1.’”
Giving Jane bangs were a dramatic and rash decision but that was the point of it, she said. Likewise, the inspiration for the type of bold physic came from her own life experiences.
Shailene Woodley’s early life and Scoliosis
The American actress Shailene Diann Woodley was born on 5th November 1991 in San Bernardino, California, US. She is the daughter of Lonnie Woodley(father) and Lori Woodley(mother). Her mother is a school counselor and her father is a school principal. Similarly, she has a younger brother.
When she was 15 years old, she was diagnosed with scoliosis. Likewise, it is a medical condition in which a person’s spine has a sideways curve. The curve can be a “C” or “S” shape. After the diagnosis, she was put in a chest-to-hips plastic brace to stop her spine from curving further. She attended Simi Valley High School and started modeling at the age of four. She also took some acting classes.
