Dancing With the Stars’ Gleb Savchenko and his wife Elena Samodanova expecting a Second Child-A Baby Girl!! The Couple couldn’t be more Happier!!

- The Dancing With the Stars dancer has revealed that his wife, Elena Samodanova is expecting a second child.
- His wife is also a professional dancer.
Update: Gleb and his wife Elena’s baby Zlata Savchenko was born in August 2017.
The Baby on Board
The couple has a seven-year-old daughter named, Olivia. Gleb announced via his Twitter account about the big news and shared this good news with his fans and followers.
He stated,
“We’re expecting a baby girl, a second little girl. I’m going to be a dad again, it’s amazing. I have a girl and I think nothing is better than a little girl for daddies. I’m so excited to share our BiG news.”

Gleb About the Second child
Gleb revealed that he and his wife, Elena were planning for their second child,
“We were planning. We wanted to have another child. It’s the time. Olivia is already 6, so she can help a little. She wanted to have a little sister, so we were like, ‘That’s a great chance. That’s a great opportunity for us.’ We’re in L.A. now settled and everything’s great, so it’s fun.”
Elena and Glen were in London for the show together. During that time only she told her husband about her pregnancy. He said that his wife gave him a pleasant surprise by giving him this news. Savchenko said,
“She was producing the show and I was dancing in it, but she also was dancing in it — but just a small part.”
Fatherhood
Glen is already the father of a baby girl. He has raised her till now so he says that now he is more prepared to welcome another child.
And now that he’s approaching fatherhood for the second time,
“I feel like when you have a second child, you just look at things totally different. You’re not so stressed about little things. It’s a lot easier and you’re more prepared. Plus, my parents are going to help and her parents are going to help. It’s fun! We don’t travel as much as we used to, so it’s good.”
Yet, Glen is planning to take a course or two to refresh on things about baby care and caring for an infant,
“Baby number 2, everything is exciting. I think it’s natural. I’m going to go and refresh and take some classes about stuff that we need to do because it’s all been forgotten. We had Olivia six years ago. I don’t think it’s going to be any different.”
Gleb – the Family Guy
Dancing With the Stars fans may not realize that Gleb Savchenko is a devoted family man. Last summer, Savchenko announced that he was quitting Britain’s Strictly Come Dancing because he wanted to spend more time with his wife and young daughter.
“I think family is more important than fame. My wife needs to feel loved and I want to see my daughter grow up.”
When he was working in London, his wife and daughters were residing in Russia. He says that that time for him was very difficult. Savchenko said,
“When I was on Strictly it was really, really difficult. I was missing out on so much and I didn’t get to see my daughter for six months out of the whole year. She’s going to be six in November and she has to go to school. My wife was trying to fly back and forth but it was too tough… I didn’t want to miss out on so much and I made this decision to be with my family.”
So far, it looks like the star is a great dad already. The dancer posted a sweet picture on Instagram showing off his teaching skills as he and his daughter did splits on the dance floor, with the caption,
“Teaching them young.”

Despite their busy schedules, Savchenko and Samodanova work hard to spend as much time as possible together, celebrating Valentine’s Day with each other and Olivia.

Professional and Personal
In a previous interview with Hello magazine, Gleb talked about how he balances his time on the dance floor and his family,
“It’s great having two women in my life but one is work, the other is family. When I wake up in the morning, I go to work and dedicate all my time to [my dance partner]. And when I go home, I give all my love and time to my wife and daughter.”
Savchenko’s wife said that her husband is,
“a wonderful father to our four-year-old daughter Olivia and a great husband. The fans don’t care if he’s married. They’re just in love with him. They asked if I could step aside so they could take a picture. I said, ‘Of course, do you want me to hold the camera?’ It’s part of the job and it’s always been this way. I have to accept his admirers and he has to accept mine.”
She also revealed that Gleb is charming and sensitive at home. She also shared that when their first daughter was born, he had tears in his eyes,
“He cried when our daughter, Olivia, was born.”
Gleb Savchenko has been married to Elena, a judge on the Russian version of Dancing With the Stars. The couple is married for over a decade. Both have each other’s full support, this is why they are still going very strong.
