Lucifer season 5 part 2 finally arrived on May 28 and boy was the second half of the season worth the wait! The season truly had everything we wanted and more — though we could have done without the many shocking deaths the episodes brought!

The episodes delivered plenty of unforgettable Deckerstar moments, gifted us with a beautiful emotional Maze storyline, brought both laughs and tears, and featured a truly incredible overarching journey for Lucifer and all our favorite characters.

The season also happened to sneak in some truly memorable surprise cameos and not just from notable celebs. Sure we had some surprise appearances from some notable celebrities such as 80s icon Debbie Gibson and a beloved Supernatural star, but the episodes also gifted fans with an unexpected return and even an appearance from one of the individuals responsible for making Lucifer the incredible series we all love.

It’s only fitting that the Lucifer musical episode features a surprise cameo from a music icon. That’s right, your eyes were not deceiving you when watching “Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam,” as the controlling mother who duets with Tom Ellis during an interrogation is played by none other than Debbie Gibson!

Dennis Haysbert wasn’t the only God dropping in on the Lucifer cast during season 5! During the second half of Lucifer season 5, Rob Benedict — who is known to many for playing God on fellow Warner Bros. drama Supernatural — appeared as criminal Vincent Le Mec aka the man responsible for killing Dan.

In one of the show’s best-kept secrets, Lucifer managed to bring back Tricia Helfer for one final appearance in season 5, episode 14. During the episode, Helfer reprises her role as Goddess as part of God’s send-off in a moment that was far too short. We loved getting to see Helfer back and it was only fitting that she returned to rekindle her relationship with God.

It seems Lucifer is even more connected than we thought! During Lucifer season 5 episode 15, Lucifer attempts to convince his sister Saraqael to back him up in his campaign to become the next God with help from a Top Chef alum who just so happens to owe him a favor. Enter Top Chef winner Michael Voltaggio, who appears as himself in the episode where he wines and dines Lucifer’s sister.

When it comes to the most fun cameos from Lucifer season 5 part 2, none quite compare to the guest appearance from co-showrunner Joe Henderson in the season finale! In the brief cameo, Henderson appears as one of the criminals who become possessed by demons as backup to Team Lucifer in their battle against Michael and his army of angels.
