Dua Lipa is kicking off her trip to Tokyo in the right way as she takes in the local culture and slips into a traditional floral kimono.

The music star is currently promoting her new single, Houdini, and held an intimate Dua Lipa fan event in the capital city to celebrate the release.

Dua Lipa stuns in floral kimono

Taking to her 88.5 million Instagram followers, the One Kiss singer posted a photo dump of images in her kimono, taking part in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.

Sticking with the floral theme, the star wore an adorable yellow flower as a hair accessory in her newly dyed red hair.

As well as pics, the star posted a video of herself partaking in the ceremony, as she mixed the green tea.

In the caption, the 28-year-old penned: “Kicked off my Tokyo trip with the sweetest invitation to a traditional tea ceremony. So happy to be hereeeeee!!!”

Fans were also happy she was here, as in her next post, a whole group of them who were lucky enough to attend the intimate event smiled for a mirror selfie with their idol.

As for the fans back home, they took to the comments to compliment Dua virtually.

“MOTHER IS MOTHERING,” exclaimed one.

“She’s cute asf,” said another fan.

“Can she please release a guide on how to look effortlessly cool in every city?” another questioned.

The star is ‘ready to start the next chapter’

At the start of October, Dua Lipa deleted all her Instagram posts as fans guessed she was releasing new music and entering a new era. And they were right, on both.

She made her return to the gram shortly after, debuting her luscious red locks before announcing her single.

Now, she’s revealed Houdini has gotten her ‘the best reaction she’s ever had’ in a new interview.

“Honestly, it hit me so quick — the intensity of everyone’s reaction. It’s amazing. It’s definitely the biggest reaction I’ve ever gotten from anything I’ve ever done. I’m just really happy and ready to start this next chapter,” she told Variety.
