George Foreman Height: How Tall Is George Foreman?

In addition to his work as an author in the United States, George Edward Foreman is best known for his previous careers as a professional boxer, businessman, and minister. George competed in the sport of boxing under the ring name “Big George” from 1967 until 1997, and his career spanned the years 1967–1997.

Both times he competed, he ended up victorious in the heavyweight division of the world championship, and he also took home the gold medal at the Olympics. As a successful entrepreneur, he is best recognized for being the creator of the George Foreman Grill.

Both the World Boxing Hall of Fame and the International Boxing Hall of Fame have honored Foreman with inductions.

Foreman is considered the eighth-best heavyweight of all time by the International Boxing Research Organization. In 2002, The Ring listed him as one of the 25 best boxers of the previous 80 years.

According to The Ring, he is the ninth-best puncher of all time (see point #8). For 12 years, from 1998 until 2004, he provided analysis from the ring for HBO’s boxing broadcasts.

Outside of boxing, he is a successful businessman who is best known for popularizing the George Foreman Grill, of which more than 100 million have been sold around the world. His 1999 sale of the grill’s commercial rights netted him $138 million.
