As we all know, Rachael Kirkconnell was the short-lived winner of Matt James‘s season of The Bachelor.

In a shocking twist, Matt decided to not propose to Rachael but rather decided to ask her to continue getting to know one another. That phase didn’t last long, since once the season began to air, so did Rachael’s dirty laundry. Accusations of racism and photos of Rachael in racially insensitive costumes made their way around the internet, and Matt ultimately decided to break it off with her.

On After the Final Rose, Matt revealed that he chose to end things with Rachael because he couldn’t continue to explain his pain to her, but could he be ready to try again?
