Keith Olbermann was born Keith Theodore Olbermann on January 27, 1959, in New York City, New York, United States.

He is an American by nationality and he is of mixed ethnicity (German, Polish, English, Irish, French).

Keith is the elder son of Marie Katherine and Theodore Olbermann.

Keith Olbermann’s father is a commercial architect and his mother is a preschool teacher. He has a younger sister named Jenna Olbermann. Keith grew up in Westchester County with his family.

Keith Olbermann joined ESPN’s SportsCenter in 1992 and worked there until 1997. After that, he was signed by ESPN2 to help launch the network.

Keith Olbermann won a Cable ACE Award- Best Sportscaster in 1995. He became the producer and anchor for Fox Sports Net from 1998 to 2001. Keith also worked as the host for Fox Sports’ coverage of Major League Baseball.
