Known as "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, he was one of the World Wresting Federation's superstars in the 1990s. He played a deranged professional wrestler called Da' Maniac on the FX show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

He was born in Canada, but played up his Scottish heritage inside the ring. He was entered into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005. He is also known for starring in the cult classic 1988 film They Live.
