Lindy Elloway and Miguel Santiago announced breakup day ahead of valentine
Lindy Elloway and Miguel Santiago-Medina are no longer married couples. Married at First Sight couple have announced their separation less than a year after their marriage.
The 30-year-old reality tv star issued a statement on their breakup on Monday, February 13. The heartbreaking statement reads,
“It is with great heartbreak Miguel and I are announcing our divorce. Sadly, it’s impossible to stay married if both people are not equally committed to the success of the marriage. Marrying a stranger on national TV has been a very painful, overwhelming and confusing process.”
Despite this fact, Lindy noted that they both don’t regret marrying in the Lifetime reality show and are grateful for this experiment and opportunity. Elloway then concludes the statement by remarking,
“It is our hope that viewers understand you see very little of our lives during the short duration of filming. While it is easy to cast judgment and make assumptions, please remember we are just regular people who decided to take a leap of faith.”
The reality tv star also offered gratitude to those who showed love and support on their insane journey so far and also asked for privacy during this difficult time to heal and grow as an individual.

The now-former couple was instantly attracted to each other after meeting for the first time at the altar. On Decision day, they both proclaimed their love for one another. Miguel read a special message to his wife on their big day, stating,
“I’ve gotten to know the real you and the thing is, I’m hooked. I’m inspired by you and I’m obsessed with you.”
He continued,
“A few pages into our joint story and I don’t want to put this book down. As puzzle pieces, we don’t just fit, we click. Let’s continue to foster the love that we’ve been searching for and found in one another.”
Lindy, for her part, expressed,
“I have nothing but love and respect for you. The person that you are, I’m just totally enamored with you…Being able to see you vulnerable, I just feel like I love you even more.”
