An American tennis player by the name of Taylor Townsend was born on April 16, 1996. In July 2018, she attained the No. 61 spot in the WTA, which was a career high.

She became the first American to do so since 1982 when she was named the 2012 ITF Junior World Champion after finishing the year atop the girls’ rankings.
