Hyderabad, Oct 9 (IANS) Three individuals from a family were washed away while crossing an overwhelmed span across a spilling over stream in Telangana’s Wanaparthy locale, police said on Sunday.

The people in question, including two ladies, were crossing Madanapuram low-level extension on a bike, when its driver let completely go and all the three were washed away alongside the vehicle.

The episode happened on Saturday night in Madanapauram mandal (block). Local people who saw the threesome being washed away attempted to save them yet to no end.

Police, with the assistance of master swimmers, sent off the salvage activity. On Sunday, the salvage laborers tracked down the bodies of Santoshamma, 38, and her girl Parimala, 18, in the stream some separation away from the extension.

The hunt was on for Sai Kumar, 25, who was driving. He is the child of Santoshamma’s sister.

As per police, misfortune struck the family when the mother-girl couple were getting back to their town Kaukuntla in the wake of observing Dasara at the place of their family members in another town Kuttakota. Santoshamma’s nephew Sai Kumar was welcoming them to their town on his bike.
