Caleb Bratayley was one of the most famous YouTubers of all time. This channel named ‘Bratayley’ which is also their family name is popular among people for being the youtube family. This channel from youtube is used by mommy Bratayley-Katie, daddy Bratayley-Billy with their children Bratayleys- Caleb, Hayley, and Annie and has been video blogging for a long long time now.
It has been about 7 years since their first-ever post. Bratayleys post vlogs about their daily lives regularly and also are among the verified accounts on youtube. The happiness of the family can be felt through their videos.
Caleb, Gone But Never Forgotten
A day that you had never expected came for the Bratayley family when they lost their eldest son, Caleb on 1st October 2015. Let alone the fans, even the family was left speechless after the sudden death of Caleb. Yes, death doesn’t come with notice but to hear the news of a lovely cheerful boy’s death is unbelievable to anyone.
Caleb passed away on the 1st of October because of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. It is a condition in which a portion of the heart becomes thickened without an obvious cause. This results in the heart being less able to pump blood effectively. No one was aware of what was going on inside Caleb’s body and was even undetected in yearly check-ups.
The family shared this sad news via their Instagram with a long caption of condolence towards Caleb’s death:
The doctor confirmed today that Caleb passed away from a heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy that went undetected in his yearly checkups. Caleb didn’t have any symptoms so the doctor said there was nothing we could have done differently. The girls’ hearts were just recently checked and thankfully look the way they should right now. The sadness of losing someone you love is unimaginable. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, your kindness and support continues to help our family. We miss our baked potato every day. #calebratelife #celebratelife
Losing someone special isn’t easy and especially when he/she is your family, it is the hardest time. It seems as if the family suddenly becomes empty without that certain members. It must have been the same with the Bratayley family.
Even their large number of fans were shocked by the news. They expressed their deep condolences through their social media accounts. After all, he was only a 13-years-old.
For their fans throughout the world to be part of Caleb’s funeral live video was streamed via Periscope and Facebook, which was viewed more than 116,000 times within an hour of posting.

Caleb LeBlanc is the eldest of the three Bratayley siblings. He used to be a YouTuber mostly posting videos of his games, especially Minecraft on the channel called blazenoutlaws. Caleb, a happy and bright child passed away in 2015 after suffering from an undetectable illness. Only after a few days, the actual cause of Caleb’s death was known.
