Recently, model, Gigi Hadid announced that she would be selling her New York City apartment after an obsessed fan made his way into her home. Last month, a man named Marcell Porter was arrested for breaking into Hadid’s SoHo residence after he had been stalking the star for some time.  Prior to the break in, Porter had written several creepy Facebook posts including, “I LOVE U. I KNOW EVERYTHING NOW. WAIT FOR ME SOULMATE,” and “WHY CAN’T YOU CALL ME? I WILL TALK TO U IN PERSON ASAP. I LOVE YOU ONCE AGAIN.” Well, Porter apparently missed out on the ‘stalking isn’t the best way to make someone’ like you memo, and as a result he’s been charged with 4th degree stalking.  However, now that Hadid is leaving her NYC digs, she’s going to have to find another place to live.  Here are 10 perfect cities for Gigi Hadid now that she’s ditching New York.

Los Angeles

As a Los Angeles native, Hadid may want to return to her birth place to collect herself.  Los Angeles is also a great city for people working in the entertainment industry, and as a model, her career will still be able to thrive while living in the city. Also, if she wants to build an acting career, there’s no better place to be than the City of Angels. Plus, what better place is there for a good-looking person than L.A?

Paris

Paris is a great place for fashion.  It’s no secret that some of the biggest designers in the world have called Paris home, and as a model, being in a place well-known for its fashion would definitely be a smart move.  Although she is just 20-years-old, Hadid has already walked in Paris Fashion Week, and may already be familiar with the city. While she is already an international name, actually becoming a resident in France could definitely help to strengthen her brand all over the world.

Miami

Over the last several years, Miami has become one of the most popular vacation spots in the United States.  Full of beautiful beaches, beautiful weather, and beautiful people, Miami has a lot to offer, especially for young people who can afford to enjoy the city. Miami has also become popular in the modeling industry and is a prime location for shooting during the traditional winter months. Plus, who wouldn’t want to ditch those New York City winters in favor of something a little more toasty.

London

The weather in London may not be great, but the city is full of rich history and incredible places to see.  But even once the sightseeing gets old, London there’s still plenty to do in London. The nightlife in London also has a lot to offer for a young person like Hadid, and living in the city would be a dream come true for many young Americans. London is also a great market for models and Hadid has already spent some time working in the city as a model at London Fashion Week.

Chicago

When it comes to the perfect place for a young talented model and TV personality to settle down, the midwest probably isn’t on anyone’s radar.  Let’s be real, when people think of the midwest, they usually think of endless cornfields and bales of hay.  However, in those generalizations, the city of Chicago often gets over looked.  Despite its reputation, Chicago is full of diversity and culture. Cheaper than some of the bigger cities (although money isn’t probably a concern for Hadid) it still offers a lot of the same amenities, and surprisingly, Chicago is actually a decent place to be for modeling.

Cape Town

Cape Town may seem a little far from home for a young American girl, but the South African city is actually sort of a right of passage for successful models. Many of the biggest models in the industry have visited and worked in South Africa, and the country is definitely a beautiful sight to see.  What could be better than living in paradise and still getting to travel the rest of the world? Hey, they always say people should see as much as they can while they’re young!

Boston

If Hadid wants to stay on the east coast, but completely get out of New York, there’s no better place than Boston.  Boston is one of the most historic cities in the United States and remains proud and full of life.  Residence of Boston take great pride in their city and there are several events throughout the year that bring locals together. Boston has a lot going, and while it may not be the best city for someone trying to build a modeling career, it’s not a long flight from New York.

San Fransisco 

San Francisco is one of the most popular cities in California. In fact, it is second only to New York City in terms of population. Although San Fran may not have the constant warm weather that is often associated with California, people seem to love the bay area anyway.  San Francisco is home to a diverse group of people and has a lot of cultural activities and events.

Sydney

There’s much more to the land down under than accents and kangaroos.  In fact, over the last several years, Sydney has become a popular destination for both short and long-term vacationers. Sydney offers plenty of activities and beautiful beaches. Plus, the winter months on this side of the world are actually the summer months in Australia.  With her access to planes, Hadid could theoretically live in summer all year-round.

Just 90 minutes from NYC, Philadelphia offers a great location for those looking for a big city feel without being overwhelmed.  Philly is another city that is home to some of America’s most important historical moments.  But even if history isn’t your thing, Phildelphia is still a great place to be. With its size, Philadelphia offers a variety of places to live, and there’s plenty of arts and entertainment to keep people busy. If Hadid loves the east coast feel, but doesn’t mind some mid-Atlantic flavor, there’s no better place than the City of Brotherly Love.
