A brand new season of Ginny & Georgia arrives on Netflix on Jan. 5. This season, we’ll meet several new characters, but there’s one character in particular that we’re most excited to see. That character is Gil Timmins, played by Aaron Ashmore.

Gil was mentioned in season 1 several times but was never introduced. He is one of Georgia’s ex-boyfriends and Austin’s father. According to Georgia, Gil was sent to prison after being charged with embezzlement. But besides being painted as a bad guy by Georgia, we don’t learn much about Gil at all.

In the first season, Austin had thought he was receiving letters from his dad but discovered it was actually Georgia all along. Georgia had even applied for several credit cards using Austin’s name and framed Gil when Mayor Paul Randolph caught her. Georgia seriously doesn’t like Gil! She thinks her life has become complicated with Ginny now knowing her darkest secret, but Gil’s arrival in Wellsbury will surely shake things up even further.
