There so many different Christmas movies to choose from every year, from romantic films to cartoon capers, all the way to raunchy comedies. Of all the Christmas movies exhibiting an abundant amount of hardcore holiday-themed hilarity, it’s hard to deny the Bad Santa franchise’s claim to fame, leaving many to wonder where they can stream the second chapter of the laugh out loud funny deplorable Billy Bob Thornton Santa saga. Could Netflix possibly be where the funny follow-up Bad Santa 2 resides this season?

While the sequel isn’t better than the iconic first installment, it does serve as a solid continuation for fans of the 2003 original, and Bad Santa plays out like a stellar DLC for anyone looking for another serving of depraved holiday humor from their favorite alcoholic mall Santa. It’s no wonder they are understandably some curious Netflix subscribers out there wondering if one of the many films that occupy the streaming service’s impressive library will be Bad Santa 2.

The first Bad Santa centered on a drunken con man and safecracker named Willie, played by Thornton. Every year he would pull a robbery pretending to be a mall Santa and would live off of the cash until next season when he would do it all over again. Swearing he was done, his partner Marcus who poses as his elf helper on the jobs and uses his size to his advantage, pulls him back in for one last payday.

The depraved, unkept mall Santa experiences all kinds of debauchery in the arcade, dressing rooms, and food court of the mall they are planning to rob. He even ends up staying with a slow-witted misfit child named Thurmon Mermon, who lives with his grandmother and believes that Willie is the real Santa. In the end, Willie ends up doing the right things, and while no one would call him a saint afterward, he does give audiences a gratifying and somewhat heartfelt ending.

Bad Santa 2 picks up several years after the first film and shows viewers that Willie’s happy ending was short-lived a she is back to boozing hard at the bottom. Things take an unexpected turn when Marcus, his former partner, is released from jail with a plan to rip off a charity with the help of Willie’s mother, whom he does not get along with at all.

The end result is another hilarious, raunchy Christmas comedy. Along with Thronton, Tony Cox, Brett Kelly reprised their roles for the Bad Santa 2 with the addition of new castmembers, Kathy Bates and Christina Hendricks.

Unfortunately, the news regarding whether or not Bad Santa 2 is on Netflix is going to feel as good a receiving a lump of coal Christmas morning. The Bad Santa sequel is not available on the streaming service.

There are still many great choices from their lineup of holiday-theme endeavors to choose from, whether it’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas all the way to The Christmas Chronicles 2. The streaming service has many options to get subscribers in the holiday spirit, but Bad Santa 2 is not one of them.

Since the sequel to Bad Santa does not occupy a slot in Netflix’s impressive library of holiday titles, the question remains as to where fans can watch the raunchy Christmas comedy?
